About This Group
Gilda’s Club Madison provides free emotional and social support for anyone impacted by cancer — patients, survivors, family members, and those grieving a cancer loss. Named after comedian Gilda Radner, who bravely shared her cancer journey, the organization offers a warm clubhouse environment where no one faces cancer alone. Their professionally facilitated support groups and wellness programs help participants build resilience during one of life’s most challenging experiences.
Groups Offered
- Cancer Support Groups: Groups for adults currently in treatment, in remission, or living with cancer, facilitated by licensed mental health professionals
- Caregiver Support Groups: For family members and friends caring for someone with cancer, addressing burnout, grief, and self-care
- Bereavement Support: Grief groups for those who have lost a loved one to cancer, with both general and specialized groups
- Youth & Family Programs: Age-appropriate support for children and teens affected by a family member’s cancer diagnosis
- Wellness Workshops: Mind-body programming including yoga, meditation, art therapy, and nutrition education
Who Can Join
Open to anyone impacted by any type of cancer — patients, survivors, family members, caregivers, and those grieving a loss. All ages welcome, with specialized programming for children, teens, and adults. No membership fees or referrals required.

What to Expect
New members receive a personal orientation to learn about available programs and find the right fit. Support groups are facilitated by licensed professionals in a comfortable, homelike setting. The clubhouse atmosphere encourages connection and community. Participants share at their own pace and are never pressured.
Cost & Confidentiality
All programs and services are completely free. Confidentiality is maintained in all group settings. Gilda’s Club Madison is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit funded by community donations and grants.
