Accessibility at My Therapy Groups
Last updated July 2026.
Finding a support group is often something people do on a hard day. The site should never be the obstacle. My Therapy Groups aims to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA across the directory, the partner portal, and everything we print.
What we have built so far
Every page carries visible focus outlines, accessible names on icon links and search fields, a single H1, and a main landmark, delivered sitewide so a fix in one place fixes every page. Buttons that hold state (like Save to my list) announce that state to assistive technology. Color contrast on our navy, cream, and parchment palette is checked against AA ratios, and the crisis line is always presented as text, never only as color. Search, saving groups, and printing a list work by keyboard. Printed group lists use real text at readable sizes, not images of text.
Where we are honest about the gaps
We have not yet completed an independent third-party audit, and some pages served by our directory software may lag behind the pages we build ourselves. We review accessibility with each release and fix what we find. An independent review is on our roadmap, and this page will say so plainly when it is done.
Tell us what you hit
If any part of the site does not work with your screen reader, keyboard, or magnification, email contact@mytherapygroups.com with the page and what happened. A real person reads it, and fixes ship in regular releases. If you need information from the site in another format in the meantime, ask and we will send it.
If you are in crisis, call or text 988. That works from any phone, no website required.
