ABOUT US
Healing happens in community
My Therapy Groups was born from a simple observation: finding the right therapeutic or support group is unreasonably hard. There's no single place to explore all options and connect with providers, until now.
We believe group-based support is one of the most powerful and underutilized tools in mental health. Whether it's a therapist-led DBT group, an AA meeting, a grief support circle, or a neighborhood book club, there's something transformative about gathering with others who understand.
Our mission is to make group discovery effortless, and to ensure that free, community-based groups always have a home here at no cost.

From the founder
Why I built this
After years as a licensed clinical social worker, I kept running into the same problem. A client would ask, "Is there a group for this?" and I would spend the next hour digging through bookmarks, old emails, and scattered flyers trying to find something that fit. If it was that hard for me, I knew it was nearly impossible for the people who actually needed help.
My Therapy Groups started as a simple idea. What if there was one trusted place where anyone could find a support group, a therapy group, or a community of people walking the same road? Not a directory stuffed with ads, and not a list that hadn't been updated in three years. A real home for real groups, free to the providers who run them.
Every group you see here exists because someone believed that healing happens in community. My hope is that this site makes it a little easier for you to find yours.

What we do
A directory built for the way groups actually work
Five types of groups
From therapeutic and peer-led groups to psychoeducation, shared community, and one-time events, every format has a place here.
Free for providers
Community groups, nonprofits, and solo clinicians can list their groups at no cost, because access should never be blocked by a paywall.
Virtual and in-person
Filter by location, format, and topic so you can find a group near you, or join one from anywhere in the country.
Curated with care
Every listing is reviewed before it goes live to confirm basic details, so the directory stays clean and easy to browse.
Ready to take a next step?
Whether you're looking for support or offering it, you have a home here.
