About This Group

NAMI Metropolitan Baltimore offers Connection Support Groups — free, peer-led support groups for adults living with any mental health condition. Trained facilitators with lived experience guide participants through structured discussions focused on sharing experiences, developing coping strategies, and building mutual support in a judgment-free environment.

What to Expect

Each 90-minute session follows a structured format that encourages sharing while maintaining a supportive atmosphere. Participants discuss challenges, celebrate successes, and learn from one another’s experiences. Facilitators are NAMI-trained peers who understand mental health challenges firsthand. Groups follow established guidelines to ensure confidentiality and respect for all participants.

About NAMI Metropolitan Baltimore

NAMI Metropolitan Baltimore is a local affiliate of the National Alliance on Mental Illness, the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization. They provide free education, support, and advocacy programs to individuals and families affected by mental illness throughout the Baltimore metropolitan area.

Who This Group Is For

Any adult who has experienced symptoms of a mental health condition is welcome. Separate Family Support Groups are also available for family members and caregivers. No diagnosis, referral, or insurance is required.
