About Wasatch Behavioral Health
Wasatch Behavioral Health is the community mental health center serving Utah and Wasatch counties, headquartered in Provo. Their Children, Youth & Family Services division provides comprehensive mental health treatment for young people and their families through the CY FAST (Children and Youth Family Assessment, Stabilization, and Treatment) program. Licensed therapists, psychiatric providers, and case managers deliver evidence-based care to help children and teens overcome mental health and behavioral challenges.
What Groups Are Offered?
Wasatch Behavioral Health offers group therapy for children and adolescents including social skills groups, anger management groups for youth, DBT skills groups for teens, family therapy groups, and trauma-focused group therapy. Mobile outreach services bring therapeutic support directly to families in their homes and communities. The center also provides individual therapy, psychiatric evaluation and medication management, respite services, and crisis intervention for youth.
Who Can Join?
Services are available to children and adolescents in Utah and Wasatch counties who are experiencing mental health or behavioral challenges. The center serves youth from early childhood through age 18 and their families. Medicaid, CHIP, most private insurance, and a sliding fee scale are available. A clinical assessment is conducted to determine the most appropriate services for each young person.
Meeting Schedule & Location
Groups and services are available at the Provo and Heber offices, as well as through mobile services that come to families in their homes, schools, and community settings. What to Expect
Families begin with a comprehensive assessment that evaluates the child’s needs and strengths. A treatment team works collaboratively with the family to develop goals and a plan of care. Group sessions are age-appropriate and use engaging, evidence-based approaches to help young people build skills, manage emotions, and improve functioning. Parents and caregivers are actively involved in the treatment process.
Cost & Confidentiality
Wasatch Behavioral Health accepts Medicaid, CHIP, most private insurance, and offers a sliding fee scale. No child or family is turned away due to inability to pay. All services comply with HIPAA privacy regulations, and records related to minors receive additional protections under state and federal law.
