About This Group

Delaware Al-Anon Family Groups provide daily support meetings for families and friends affected by someone else’s drinking. Al-Anon is a mutual support program based on the understanding that alcoholism is a family disease, and meetings help loved ones develop their own coping skills and recovery regardless of whether the alcoholic is still drinking.

What to Expect

Al-Anon meetings are peer-led gatherings where members share their experiences with the effects of someone else’s alcoholism on their lives. Meetings follow a structured format and incorporate the 12 Steps adapted for family members. The atmosphere is supportive, confidential, and focused on the attendee’s own well-being rather than trying to control the drinker.

About Al-Anon Delaware

Al-Anon Family Groups have served Delaware for decades, providing daily meetings across the state. The program recognizes that family members and friends of alcoholics often develop their own patterns of anxiety, depression, and dysfunctional coping — and deserve their own path to healing.
