Al-Anon Family Groups – Delaware
About This Group
Delaware Al-Anon Family Groups provide daily support meetings for families and friends affected by someone else’s drinking. Al-Anon is a mutual support program based on the understanding that alcoholism is a family disease, and meetings help loved ones develop their own coping skills and recovery regardless of whether the alcoholic is still drinking.
What to Expect
Al-Anon meetings are peer-led gatherings where members share their experiences with the effects of someone else’s alcoholism on their lives. Meetings follow a structured format and incorporate the 12 Steps adapted for family members. The atmosphere is supportive, confidential, and focused on the attendee’s own well-being rather than trying to control the drinker.
About Al-Anon Delaware
