About This Group
The Brain Injury Association of Pennsylvania (BIAPA) provides statewide support groups, a help line, education, and advocacy for individuals living with traumatic brain injury and their families. With support groups meeting in Shadyside, West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh, Langhorne, and other locations, BIAPA serves as the state’s primary resource for brain injury information, connection, and support.
What to Expect
BIAPA support groups provide safe, welcoming spaces where brain injury survivors, caregivers, and family members can share experiences, learn coping strategies, and connect with others who understand their challenges. Groups are facilitated and cover topics including cognitive rehabilitation, emotional adjustment, navigating healthcare services, and building independence. The help line provides individual information and referral assistance Monday through Friday.

Heads On Straight (Langhorne): 1st and 3rd Tuesdays
Help Line: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM
