About This Group
Journey of Hope Grief Support Center provides free peer-facilitated grief support groups for children, adolescents, and adults in the Dallas–Fort Worth area. Their groups help individuals process the death of a loved one in a safe, understanding environment with others who share similar experiences of loss. Spanish-speaking groups are also available.
What to Expect
Support groups are facilitated by trained volunteers in age-appropriate formats. Children and teens participate in creative activities designed to help them express and process grief, while adult groups focus on sharing, coping strategies, and mutual support. Groups are offered in cycles and new participants are welcome at the start of each cycle. Anticipatory grief groups and young adult groups are also available.
