NAMI Central Kansas — Salina, KS
About This Group
NAMI Central Kansas provides free peer support for individuals and families affected by mental illness in the Salina area and surrounding central Kansas counties including Saline, Dickinson, Ottawa, Ellsworth, and Lincoln Counties. Monthly meetings offer consistent mental health support in a region where specialized services can be limited.
What to Expect
NAMI Central Kansas meets on the 2nd Tuesday of each month from 7:00–8:30 PM at the Salina Resource Center. Meetings are facilitated by trained peers and provide a confidential, supportive space for sharing experiences, learning coping strategies, and connecting with others who understand mental health challenges. The group serves both individuals with mental health conditions and their family members, often combining peer support with educational presentations.
About NAMI Central Kansas
NAMI Central Kansas is an affiliate of the National Alliance on Mental Illness, serving the rural and small-city communities of central Kansas. Their work is especially important in a region where mental health resources may be less accessible than in larger metropolitan areas. Through monthly support groups and community outreach, they ensure that central Kansans have access to peer support and mental health education.
