About This Group
NAMI Connecticut is the state organization of the National Alliance on Mental Illness, coordinating 10 local affiliates and over 40 free support groups across the state. They provide peer-led support groups, education programs, and advocacy for individuals living with mental health conditions and their families throughout Connecticut.
What to Expect
NAMI CT coordinates NAMI Connection Recovery Support Groups for adults with mental health conditions and NAMI Family Support Groups for caregivers and loved ones. All groups are led by trained peer facilitators with lived experience. Sessions provide a safe, confidential space for sharing, learning coping strategies, and building community. No registration or diagnosis is required.
About NAMI Connecticut
NAMI Connecticut serves as the statewide hub connecting 10 local NAMI affiliates across the state. They advocate at the state legislature for mental health policies, provide statewide resources, and help individuals find their nearest local support group or program. NAMI CT also offers educational courses including Family-to-Family, Peer-to-Peer, and In Our Own Voice.
