The NAMI Connection Support Group at New Hope Hawaii Kai provides free monthly peer support for individuals in mental health recovery in the Hawaii Kai area of East Honolulu. Meeting on the second Monday of each month, this group offers a structured, confidential environment where participants can share experiences, build coping skills, and connect with others navigating similar mental health journeys.
What to Expect
The NAMI Connection group follows the nationally recognized peer support model, facilitated by trained individuals with lived experience of mental health conditions. Sessions last approximately 90 minutes and provide a safe, judgment-free space for open sharing. The group emphasizes hope, recovery, and mutual support. Topics naturally emerge from participants’ current experiences and needs. New participants are welcome at any meeting without registration.
