About This Group
NAMI Greater Indianapolis provides free peer-led support groups for individuals living with mental health conditions and their family members throughout the Indianapolis metropolitan area. The affiliate offers 19 programs including NAMI Connection peer support, Family Support Groups, NAMI Basics educational classes, and community outreach — all free with no referral needed.
What to Expect
NAMI Connection groups are facilitated by trained peers with lived experience of mental health conditions, providing a safe, confidential space for sharing and mutual support. Family Support Groups help caregivers understand mental illness and develop self-care strategies. NAMI Basics is a psychoeducational program for parents and caregivers of children and adolescents with mental health conditions. All programs follow nationally recognized NAMI curricula. No registration required for support groups.
