About This Group
NAMI North Dakota (National Alliance on Mental Illness) is the state’s leading grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness. Through peer-led support groups, education programs, and public advocacy, NAMI ND provides hope and healing to individuals living with depression, anxiety, PTSD, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, OCD, and other mental health conditions, as well as their family members.
What to Expect
NAMI offers several structured support programs throughout North Dakota. NAMI Connection recovery support groups are free, peer-led groups for adults living with mental health conditions, meeting weekly in a relaxed and supportive environment. NAMI Family Support Groups provide a safe space for family members, caregivers, and loved ones to share experiences and learn coping strategies. All groups follow a structured format with trained facilitators who have personal lived experience with mental illness.

As an affiliate of the national NAMI organization, NAMI North Dakota has been a cornerstone of mental health advocacy in the state for decades. With local chapters across North Dakota, NAMI provides free education, support groups, and public awareness campaigns to reduce stigma and improve access to mental health care for all North Dakotans.
