About Narcotics Anonymous – Esperanza Area
The Esperanza Area of Narcotics Anonymous serves the greater San Antonio region with dozens of weekly meetings for individuals seeking recovery from drug addiction. NA follows a twelve-step program where members support one another in achieving and maintaining a drug-free life. San Antonio’s Esperanza Area is one of the most active NA communities in South Texas, offering meetings in English and Spanish across Bexar County and surrounding areas.
What Groups Are Offered?
The Esperanza Area hosts a wide range of meetings throughout each week, including open discussion meetings, step study groups, speaker meetings, literature study meetings, and newcomer-focused sessions. Many meetings are held daily, with multiple options at different times and locations across San Antonio, New Braunfels, and surrounding communities. Special meetings for Spanish speakers are available as well.

What to Expect
NA meetings provide a supportive, anonymous atmosphere where members share their experience, strength, and hope. First-time attendees are welcomed warmly and there is no pressure to speak. Meetings typically last about an hour. There are no fees or dues for membership—NA is fully self-supporting through voluntary contributions from its members.
Cost & Confidentiality
All NA meetings are free of charge. Anonymity is a foundational principle of the program—what is shared in meetings stays in meetings. NA does not keep records of attendance and members use first names only to protect privacy.
