OCD Chicago – OCD & Anxiety Support Group – Chicago, IL
About This Group
OCD Chicago provides mutual self-help support groups for adults with Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder and co-occurring conditions including anxiety, agoraphobia, depression, and social anxiety. The group meets on the first and third Tuesdays for free peer support, and on the second and fourth Tuesdays for professionally assisted group sessions at a nominal fee.
What to Expect
The free peer support meetings (1st and 3rd Tuesdays, 7-9 PM) follow a mutual self-help model where participants share experiences, discuss coping strategies, and support one another through the challenges of living with OCD. The professionally assisted sessions (2nd and 4th Tuesdays, 7-8:30 PM, $5/session) are guided by a mental health professional and may include psychoeducation about OCD treatment approaches including Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). Both formats provide a safe, understanding environment.
