About This Group

Postpartum Support International (PSI) provides vital support for Wyoming mothers and families experiencing perinatal mood and anxiety disorders. In a state where specialized perinatal mental health providers are scarce and distances to care can be hundreds of miles, PSI’s virtual support groups, helpline, and peer mentor matching ensure that no Wyoming parent suffers alone. Their trained peer mentors — women who have personally recovered from perinatal mood disorders — provide one-on-one support tailored to the isolation and challenges of rural parenthood.

Groups Offered

  • Online Postpartum Support Groups: Weekly virtual groups for mothers experiencing postpartum depression, anxiety, OCD, or other perinatal mood disorders
  • Peer Mentor Matching: One-on-one connections with trained volunteers who have personal recovery experience with perinatal mood disorders
  • Expert Chat & Webinars: Weekly online sessions facilitated by perinatal mental health professionals on specific topics
  • Dad’s Support Resources: Information and support for fathers and partners navigating the perinatal period
  • Provider Directory: List of perinatal mental health providers serving Wyoming residents, including telehealth options

What to Expect

Virtual groups are led by trained peer mentors who have personally recovered from perinatal mood disorders. Sessions provide a safe, non-judgmental space to share experiences, learn coping strategies, and find community. Participants can join with cameras on or off based on comfort level. The helpline connects callers with local providers, support groups, and crisis resources. PSI understands the particular isolation that Wyoming parents can face and works to bridge that gap through virtual connection.

Cost & Confidentiality

All PSI support groups and helpline services are completely free. Confidentiality is maintained in all group settings. PSI is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to perinatal mental health awareness and support.
