About Pride Center of Vermont

The Pride Center of Vermont is the state’s community center for LGBTQ+ individuals and their allies, located in Burlington. The center provides support groups, community programming, the SafeSpace Anti-Violence Program for LGBTQ+ survivors of violence, health and wellness resources, and advocacy services. The Pride Center serves as a vital gathering place and resource hub for Vermont’s LGBTQ+ community across all ages and identities.

What Groups Are Offered?

The Pride Center offers peer-led support groups including groups for LGBTQ+ older adults (55+), transgender and nonbinary community groups, social gatherings, and health and wellness programming. The SafeSpace Anti-Violence Program provides specialized support, advocacy, and safety planning for LGBTQ+ people who have experienced domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, or hate violence. Community events, educational workshops, and social activities run throughout the year.

Who Can Join?

Programs are open to LGBTQ+ individuals of all ages and their allies. Specific groups may focus on particular demographics such as older adults, transgender individuals, or survivors of violence. The SafeSpace program serves any LGBTQ+ person experiencing violence or abuse. No membership fee or registration is required for most programs.

Meeting Schedule & Location

Groups and programs meet at the Pride Center’s Burlington facility on a regular schedule, with some programs also offered in Montpelier and other Vermont communities. Virtual options are available for some programs. A current calendar is available on the Pride Center website.

All Pride Center programs and support groups are free of charge. The SafeSpace Anti-Violence Program maintains strict confidentiality protections for all survivors. The center provides a safe, affirming environment where personal information is protected.
