Recovery Dharma – Denver
About This Group
Recovery Dharma Denver offers free, peer-led support meetings for people seeking recovery from addiction of all kinds — substances, behaviors, and patterns. Rooted in Buddhist principles, Recovery Dharma is a non-theistic, meditation-based recovery program that empowers individuals to find freedom from the suffering of addiction through mindfulness, compassion, and community.
What to Expect
Each meeting typically includes 15–20 minutes of guided meditation, readings from the Recovery Dharma text, and peer-led discussion grounded in the Four Noble Truths and the Eightfold Path. No prior meditation experience or Buddhist background is required — all are welcome. Meetings are drop-in, and you can attend as frequently as you choose.
About Recovery Dharma
Recovery Dharma is a peer-led movement using Buddhist practices and principles to overcome addiction. Unlike 12-step programs, Recovery Dharma does not require belief in a higher power and centers on meditation and mindfulness as core recovery tools. The Denver chapter holds multiple weekly meetings at various locations.
