The Schizophrenia Alliance emerged from the recognition that people with schizophrenia and related conditions often face severe isolation and stigma. By creating peer-led support spaces, the Alliance empowers individuals to support one another while challenging misconceptions about psychotic disorders. The organization is affiliated with the Schizophrenia & Psychosis Action Alliance (formerly SARDAA).
