Stillwater Counseling & Wellness — Anxiety Management Group (Denver, CO)
About This Group
The Anxiety Management Group at Stillwater Counseling & Wellness is a therapist-led group for adults living with generalized anxiety, social anxiety, panic disorder, or persistent worry that interferes with daily life. Led by Dr. Sarah Mitchell, a licensed clinical psychologist with over 15 years of experience, this group uses evidence-based cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) techniques combined with mindfulness practices to help participants understand their anxiety, develop practical coping strategies, and regain a sense of calm and control.
What to Expect
This intimate group (6–8 participants) meets weekly for 90-minute sessions. Each session includes a brief mindfulness exercise, psychoeducation on an anxiety-related topic, guided skill-building practice, and open group discussion. Over the course of the group, participants learn to identify anxiety triggers, challenge unhelpful thought patterns, practice grounding techniques, and build a personalized anxiety management toolkit. The small group size ensures everyone receives individual attention and has the opportunity to share and be heard.
Who It’s For
Adults (18+) experiencing generalized anxiety disorder, social anxiety, panic attacks, health anxiety, or chronic worry. No prior therapy experience is required. This group is ideal for people who want structured support alongside a community of others who understand.
