About This Group
The Trauma Recovery & PTSD Support Group at Summit Behavioral Health Group provides a safe, clinician-led space for adults processing trauma and its aftermath. Summit’s trauma-specialized therapists use an integrative approach combining trauma-focused CBT, somatic awareness, and group process to help participants reduce PTSD symptoms, rebuild a sense of safety, and reclaim their lives after traumatic experiences.

What to Expect
This group meets twice weekly (Tuesdays and Thursdays) for 90-minute sessions. The group follows a phased treatment model: Phase 1 focuses on stabilization and safety (grounding skills, emotional regulation, psychoeducation about trauma); Phase 2 addresses processing traumatic memories at each participant’s own pace; Phase 3 focuses on reconnection, meaning-making, and post-traumatic growth. Groups are small (6–8 participants) and carefully screened to ensure group safety and cohesion. Both men and women are welcome.

Who It’s For
Adults (18+) experiencing PTSD, complex trauma, or the lasting effects of traumatic events including abuse, assault, accidents, combat, or other life-threatening experiences. Participants should be stabilized enough for group work (assessed during intake).
