About This Group

The Compassionate Friends Central Connecticut chapter provides peer support for parents, siblings, and grandparents who have experienced the death of a child of any age, from any cause. Meeting at the Farmington Community Center, this chapter offers both in-person and virtual meetings to support bereaved families in the Hartford area.

What to Expect

Monthly meetings provide a safe, confidential environment where bereaved family members can share their feelings, memories, and coping experiences with others who truly understand their loss. Meetings are peer-facilitated by other bereaved parents. There is no pressure to speak — you are welcome to simply listen. Virtual meetings are also offered on alternate weeks.
