What to Expect
Veterans can access mental health services through scheduled appointments or same-day mental health access. Services include individual therapy, group therapy, psychiatric evaluation and medication management, evidence-based PTSD treatment (including Cognitive Processing Therapy and Prolonged Exposure), substance use treatment, and crisis intervention. The VA uses a whole-health approach that addresses the physical, emotional, and social aspects of well-being. Telehealth services are available for those who prefer remote care.

Who This Group Is For
VA mental health services are available to veterans enrolled in VA health care. Veterans may qualify for mental health services even without full VA enrollment. Active duty service members, National Guard, and Reserve members may also be eligible for certain services.
