About This Group
Women & Children’s Horizons serves survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault in Kenosha and Racine counties with comprehensive crisis services, shelter, counseling, and support groups. Their therapeutic programming helps survivors process trauma, develop safety plans, and rebuild their lives in a supportive community of peers who understand the journey from victim to survivor.
Groups Offered
- Domestic Violence Support Group: Therapeutic group for adult survivors of intimate partner violence, addressing trauma recovery, safety planning, and healthy relationship building
- Sexual Assault Survivor Group: Support for survivors of sexual violence at any stage of recovery
- Children’s Counseling Program: Individual and group therapy for children who have witnessed or experienced domestic violence
- Economic Independence Program: Workshops on financial literacy, job skills, and housing resources for survivors building independent lives
Who Can Join
Open to anyone in Kenosha and Racine counties who has experienced domestic violence or sexual assault. Services available regardless of gender, age, income, or immigration status. No police report or legal involvement required. Children’s programs serve youth of all ages.

What to Expect
All services begin with a confidential intake to assess safety needs and connect participants with appropriate resources. Support groups are facilitated by trained advocates and counselors in trauma-informed settings. Participants set their own pace for healing and sharing. Additional services including shelter, legal advocacy, and case management are available alongside group programming.

All services are free and strictly confidential. Women & Children’s Horizons operates under Wisconsin’s statutory confidentiality protections for domestic violence and sexual assault advocates. They are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
