2NDFLOOR is New Jersey’s confidential and anonymous helpline dedicated to supporting youth and young adults (under 21) dealing with mental health challenges, crisis situations, and everyday problems. Available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, 2NDFLOOR provides free crisis counseling, emotional support, and guidance via phone and text. The helpline is staffed by trained counselors who listen without judgment and help young people find solutions and resources.
What to Expect
When you contact 2NDFLOOR, you’ll speak with a trained counselor who will listen to your concerns without judgment. The service is completely confidential and anonymous — you don’t have to give your name. Counselors can help with a wide range of issues including depression, anxiety, bullying, family problems, relationship issues, substance use, self-harm, and suicidal thoughts. They can also connect you with local resources and services for ongoing support.
