About This Group
The National Association of Anorexia Nervosa and Associated Disorders (ANAD) operates free peer support groups at multiple locations throughout Georgia, including Savannah, Smyrna, Suwanee, Atlanta, Dunwoody, Cumming, Decatur, and Gainesville. These 75-minute weekly groups provide compassionate peer support for individuals recovering from eating disorders including anorexia, bulimia, binge eating disorder, and ARFID.
What to Expect
ANAD support groups are free, 75-minute weekly peer-led sessions that provide a safe, non-judgmental space for individuals at all stages of eating disorder recovery. Groups follow ANAD’s structured support model and are facilitated by trained volunteers. In addition to weekly support groups, ANAD offers a 6-week Recovery Skills Workshop and a Recovery Mentorship Program that pairs individuals with mentors further along in their recovery journey.
