About The Healing Center
The Healing Center is a Seattle-based nonprofit providing free grief support groups for anyone in Washington State who is grieving the loss of a loved one. Founded on the belief that grief is a natural process best supported by community, The Healing Center offers open, welcoming spaces where grievers can share their experiences, honor their loved ones, and find connection with others who understand the pain of loss.
What Groups Are Offered?
The Healing Center offers ongoing grief support groups that meet regularly for open conversations about loss. Groups welcome people grieving any type of loss—spouse, partner, parent, child, sibling, friend, or other significant person. Sessions provide space for sharing memories, exploring challenges of grief, and building connections with fellow grievers. Both in-person and virtual group options are available to serve communities across Washington.
Who Can Join?
Groups are open to any adult who has experienced the death of a loved one, regardless of when the loss occurred or the cause of death. No registration fee, referral, or membership is required. Whether your loss is recent or years ago, you are welcome.
Meeting Schedule & Location
Groups meet on regular schedules at The Healing Center’s Seattle location and at community partner sites throughout Washington. Virtual groups provide access for those outside the Seattle area. A current calendar is available on The Healing Center website.

What to Expect
Grief groups at The Healing Center are warm, open gatherings where you can share your loss at your own pace. There is no pressure to speak, and there is no prescribed timeline for grief. The atmosphere is one of mutual understanding and support.

All grief support groups at The Healing Center are completely free. Confidentiality is maintained—what is shared in groups stays in the group.
