Birth Squad / Colorado Perinatal Mental Health Project — Free Monthly Meetups (Denver, CO)
About This Group
The Birth Squad is a community initiative of the Colorado Perinatal Mental Health Project dedicated to supporting parents through the transformative experience of pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period. Through free monthly meetups, Birth Squad creates a safe, nonjudgmental space where parents — especially new and expecting mothers — can share their experiences, ask questions, and find solidarity with others navigating the same life-altering transition. The organization’s broader mission focuses on improving perinatal mental health awareness and access to support across Colorado.
What to Expect
Birth Squad hosts free monthly meetups at the Denver Children’s Museum and other family-friendly venues. Gatherings are relaxed and informal, designed so parents can connect while their little ones play. Topics of conversation range from birth stories and breastfeeding challenges to postpartum mood disorders, relationship changes, and the realities of early parenthood. Lactation support, perinatal mental health professionals, and community resource information are often available at events. Babies and young children are always welcome.
Who It’s For
Expecting and new parents, with a focus on maternal mental health and the perinatal period. Partners and support people are welcome. The group serves parents of all backgrounds and birth experiences.
