About This Group
DBSA Omaha New Hope is a peer-led support group for individuals living with depression, bipolar disorder, and other mood disorders in the Omaha area. Meeting every Thursday evening, the group provides a safe, welcoming environment where participants share experiences, learn coping strategies, and find encouragement from others who understand the challenges of living with mood disorders. Family members and friends are also welcome to attend.
What to Expect
DBSA Omaha New Hope meets every Thursday (except holidays) from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Meetings are peer-led by trained facilitators who live with mood disorders themselves. The format includes check-ins, topic discussions, and open sharing time. Topics may include medication management, coping strategies, relationship challenges, workplace issues, and wellness planning. The group is not a therapy session but a peer-to-peer support environment. New members are welcome at any meeting without prior registration.

The Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance (DBSA) is the leading national peer-directed organization focusing on mood disorders. The Omaha New Hope chapter provides local, ongoing peer support for individuals in the Omaha area. DBSA groups are guided by a scientific advisory board of leading mood disorder researchers and clinicians.
