LGBTQ+ Autistic Adults Support Group — Autism Society of Colorado (Virtual)
Statewide

About This Group
The LGBTQ+ Autistic Adults Support Group is a virtual peer support space facilitated by the Autism Society of Colorado for autistic adults who identify as LGBTQ+. Research shows a significant overlap between autism and LGBTQ+ identities, yet finding a support space that understands both experiences can be difficult. This group provides a welcoming, affirming environment where participants can discuss the intersection of being autistic and LGBTQ+, share resources, and build community with others who get it.

What to Expect
The group meets virtually on the second and fourth Tuesdays of every month from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM via Zoom. Sessions are facilitated by an LGBTQ+ lead facilitator (Eli) along with co-facilitator Levon Arnold, both of whom bring lived experience to the group. Meetings are conversational and peer-driven — you can share as much or as little as you’re comfortable with. Topics may include identity, relationships, navigating social situations, self-advocacy, and whatever participants want to discuss.

Who It’s For
Autistic adults (18+) who identify as LGBTQ+ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, nonbinary, or any other gender or sexual minority identity).
