NAMI Arkansas – Statewide Mental Health Support

About This Group

NAMI Arkansas is the state organization of the National Alliance on Mental Illness, offering free peer-led support groups, educational programs, and advocacy for individuals living with mental health conditions and their families throughout Arkansas. They coordinate NAMI Connection Recovery Support Groups and NAMI Family Support Groups across the state.

What to Expect

NAMI Connection groups are led by trained peer facilitators who have their own lived experience with mental health conditions. NAMI Family Support Groups are led by family members who understand the challenges of supporting a loved one with mental illness. Sessions provide a safe, confidential space for sharing experiences, coping strategies, and mutual encouragement. No registration or diagnosis is required.

NAMI Arkansas has served the state since the 1980s, providing education, support, and advocacy for individuals and families affected by mental illness. They offer programs including Family-to-Family, Peer-to-Peer, In Our Own Voice, and Ending the Silence. NAMI Arkansas also advocates at the state legislature for improved mental health services and policies.

Who This Group Is For

Adults living with any mental health condition (Connection groups) and family members or caregivers of individuals with mental illness (Family Support groups). All programs are free and open to anyone regardless of diagnosis.
