NAMI Duluth Area – Support Groups & Coffee Conversations (Duluth, MN)
About This Group
NAMI Duluth Area is a grassroots organization providing support groups for adults with mental illness in the Duluth and northern Minnesota region. In addition to traditional monthly support meetings, they offer weekly “Coffee & Conversations” gatherings at local cafes, creating low-pressure social opportunities for community connection and peer support.
What to Expect
Monthly support meetings follow NAMI’s structured peer-led format with trained facilitators guiding discussions about recovery, coping strategies, and mutual support. The Coffee & Conversations groups offer a more informal setting where participants meet at local cafes for casual conversation and social connection. This dual approach ensures both structured support and relaxed social opportunities are available to community members regardless of where they are in their recovery.
About NAMI Duluth Area
NAMI Duluth Area fills a critical gap in mental health peer support for the northern Minnesota region, where access to specialized services can be limited. Their innovative Coffee & Conversations model brings support into everyday community settings.
