About This Group
NAMI Tallahassee provides free peer-led support groups for individuals living with mental health conditions and their family members in the Tallahassee and North Florida area. As the state capital’s NAMI affiliate, the organization serves the Leon County community with structured support groups, educational programs, and advocacy for improved mental health services.
What to Expect
Support groups are facilitated by trained NAMI volunteers with lived experience of mental health challenges. NAMI Connection groups provide peer support for individuals living with mental illness, while Family Support Groups serve parents, spouses, siblings, and other loved ones. Sessions are structured to balance open sharing with supportive guidance. Meetings last approximately 90 minutes and new participants are always welcome without registration.
