Pathways Trauma & Recovery Center — Complex Trauma Recovery Intensive (Portland, OR)
About This Group
The Complex Trauma Recovery Intensive at Pathways Trauma & Recovery Center is a 12-week, clinician-led group program for adults healing from complex or developmental trauma — including childhood abuse or neglect, prolonged domestic violence, human trafficking, or other repeated traumatic experiences. Pathways’ trauma-specialized team uses an integrative approach combining EMDR, somatic experiencing, and interpersonal process work to help participants move from surviving to thriving.
What to Expect
This structured 12-week program meets twice weekly for 90-minute sessions. The program follows a phased approach: Weeks 1–4 focus on stabilization, safety, and building internal resources (grounding, containment, emotional regulation skills). Weeks 5–8 introduce gentle trauma processing using EMDR and somatic awareness techniques. Weeks 9–12 focus on integration, meaning-making, and building a post-trauma identity. Groups are intentionally small (5–6 participants) to create deep safety and connection. All facilitators are EMDR-certified and somatic experiencing trained.
Who It’s For
Adults (18+) with histories of complex trauma, developmental trauma, or C-PTSD. Participants are assessed individually to ensure readiness for group work. This program is ideal for people who have done some individual trauma therapy and are ready for the relational healing that group work provides.
