About This Group
The Compassionate Friends Sioux Falls Chapter provides peer support for families who have experienced the death of a child at any age and from any cause. This peer-led group offers a safe, understanding space where bereaved parents, grandparents, and siblings can share their grief, find comfort in knowing they are not alone, and learn from others who have walked a similar path of loss.
What to Expect
Monthly meetings are peer-facilitated by bereaved parents who have been on their grief journey for some time. Sessions typically include sharing, discussion, and mutual support in a warm, nonjudgmental atmosphere. New members are welcomed with compassion and can participate at their own comfort level — listening is always an option. The group follows The Compassionate Friends’ proven format of peer support for bereaved families.

The Compassionate Friends is a national nonprofit self-help support organization for families who have experienced the death of a child. With nearly 600 chapters across the United States, TCF provides peer support, understanding, and hope to bereaved families as they work through the grief journey.
