About This Group

NAMI Greater Los Angeles County (GLAC) is the umbrella organization bringing together seven local NAMI affiliates serving Los Angeles County, including chapters for San Fernando Valley, San Gabriel Valley, South Bay, Urban LA, and Westside. They provide free peer-led support groups, education programs, and advocacy for individuals and families affected by mental health conditions.

What to Expect

NAMI Connection Recovery Support Groups provide peer support for adults living with mental health conditions, while NAMI Family Support Groups help caregivers and loved ones. All groups are led by trained facilitators with lived experience. Sessions create a safe, confidential space for sharing, learning coping strategies, and building community. No registration or diagnosis is required.

NAMI GLAC coordinates mental health support across the nation’s largest county, connecting residents with their nearest local NAMI affiliate. They offer programs including Family-to-Family, Peer-to-Peer, In Our Own Voice, Provider Education, and Ending the Silence. NAMI GLAC also advocates for improved mental health services and policies at the county and state level.
