About This Group

NAMI Southern Arizona serves the Tucson area and surrounding communities with free peer-led support groups for individuals living with mental health conditions and their family members. As the southern Arizona affiliate of the National Alliance on Mental Illness, they offer NAMI Connection groups for adults with mental illness and NAMI Family Support Groups for loved ones and caregivers.

What to Expect

Support groups are led by trained peer facilitators who have personal experience with mental health conditions or caregiving. Sessions follow a structured yet flexible format that encourages sharing, mutual support, and practical coping strategies. Groups provide a judgment-free space where everyone’s experience is respected and valued. No registration or diagnosis is required.

About NAMI Southern Arizona

NAMI Southern Arizona (NAMISA) has been serving the Tucson community and surrounding areas for decades with education, support, and advocacy programs. In addition to support groups, they offer Family-to-Family and Peer-to-Peer educational courses, In Our Own Voice presentations, and community outreach. NAMISA also operates a resource center and warm line for people seeking mental health information.

Who This Group Is For

Adults living with any mental health condition (Connection groups) and family members or caregivers of loved ones with mental illness (Family Support groups). Open to all regardless of diagnosis. All programs are free.
