About This Group
Support Each Other provides peer-to-peer bereavement support for individuals who have lost a loved one to suicide in the greater Greenwich and Fairfield County area. Founded by bereaved individuals trained by the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, the group addresses the complicated grief, shame, and isolation that often accompany suicide loss.
What to Expect
Monthly virtual meetings provide a safe, judgment-free space where suicide loss survivors can share their experiences, process complex emotions, and connect with others who truly understand their grief. Facilitators are fellow survivors who have received training from AFSP. The group addresses the unique aspects of suicide bereavement including guilt, anger, confusion, stigma, and unanswered questions.
About Support Each Other
Support Each Other was founded by suicide loss survivors who recognized the need for specialized bereavement support in their community. Affiliated with the Second Congregational Church of Greenwich, the group welcomes people of all faiths and backgrounds. Their mission is to ensure that no one grieving a suicide loss has to face it alone.
