About This Group
The Women’s Center in Waukesha provides comprehensive support services for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse, and human trafficking. Serving Waukesha County and surrounding areas, their therapeutic programs help survivors process trauma, rebuild safety, and develop healthy coping strategies. All services are provided by trained facilitators in a trauma-informed environment.
Groups Offered
- Domestic Violence Support Group: Therapeutic group for adults who have experienced intimate partner violence, covering safety planning, trauma recovery, and healthy relationship skills
- Sexual Assault Survivor Group: Support and healing group for survivors of sexual violence at any stage of recovery
- Children & Teen Programs: Age-appropriate therapeutic groups for young people who have witnessed or experienced violence
- Support & Education Groups: Psychoeducational programming on healthy relationships, boundaries, and self-advocacy
Who Can Join
Open to all survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse, or human trafficking in the Waukesha County area. Services available regardless of gender, age, or financial situation. No police report or legal involvement required.

What to Expect
New participants meet with an advocate for a confidential intake to discuss their needs and goals. Support groups are led by trained facilitators in a safe, trauma-informed setting. Participants set their own pace for sharing and healing. Additional services including individual counseling, legal advocacy, and emergency shelter are available as needed.
Cost & Confidentiality
All services are free and strictly confidential. The Women’s Center operates under Wisconsin’s confidentiality protections for domestic violence and sexual assault advocates. They are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
