NAMI Greater Wheeling is a local affiliate of the National Alliance on Mental Illness serving the northern panhandle of West Virginia. What Groups Are Offered?
NAMI Greater Wheeling offers NAMI Connection Recovery Support Groups for adults living with mental health conditions and NAMI Family Support Groups for family members and caregivers. Educational programs such as Family-to-Family and Peer-to-Peer are offered periodically. All groups are facilitated by trained volunteers with personal lived experience with mental illness.

What to Expect
NAMI support groups are structured, confidential peer gatherings lasting 60–90 minutes. Trained facilitators guide supportive discussions where participants share experiences and coping strategies. There is no pressure to speak. New attendees are warmly welcomed.
