Free Fear of Flying Support Group - Online, Nationwide | SOAR
About This Group
SOAR was founded in 1982 by Captain Tom Bunn, a commercial airline pilot who is also a licensed clinical social worker. Fear of flying, sometimes called aviophobia or aerophobia, affects an estimated 25 million Americans, and Bunn built SOAR specifically to combine an insider’s understanding of aviation with clinical tools for managing anxiety.
Ways to Find Support
Every Wednesday night, Capt. Bunn hosts a free group counseling session by video or phone, open to anyone working through fear of flying. Many participants continue joining the weekly calls even after their fear has significantly eased, both to keep building confidence and to offer support to newer members going through what they once did. SOAR also offers free videos, articles, and Capt. Bunn’s top tips as part of its broader library of resources.
Who This Is For
Anyone struggling with fear of flying, at any stage of their journey with it, anywhere in the U.S. including Colorado.
