SAS for Women — Free Divorce Support & Coaching for Women
SAS for Women (Smart Awareness Strategies) is a women-only divorce support organization founded in 2012 by Liza Caldwell. SAS offers free online coaching for women considering or going through divorce, plus an introductory Zoom group — Annie’s Group — that brings women together for a virtual, live-coached overview of what they need to know. The organization works exclusively with women, with the conviction that women experience divorce in a particular way that benefits from women-only peer space.
What to Expect
SAS for Women’s free offerings include six months of email coaching — action plans, checklists, and support strategies delivered discreetly to your inbox — and Annie’s Group, a one-time virtual Zoom group facilitated by SAS cofounder Liza Caldwell. Annie’s Group covers the foundational questions every woman faces in divorce: how to prepare emotionally, what to know legally, how to think about finances, how to talk to children, and how to start building the next chapter. The group is confidential and structured to let women ask the questions they may not have anyone in their personal life to ask. SAS also runs Frida’s Group, a six-month paid program of twelve 90-minute Zoom sessions, for women who want deeper, ongoing support.
Who This Group Is For
SAS for Women serves women considering divorce, in the middle of divorce, or recently divorced. The free email coaching and Annie’s Group are accessible to women across the United States and internationally. Members are typically navigating divorce alongside work, parenting, financial uncertainty, and the emotional weight of the relationship’s end — the SAS programs are designed for that real-world complexity.
Why Peer Support Works
The early days of divorce often involve a lot of secrecy — women describe being unable to talk openly with friends, family, or even therapists about what they’re considering. SAS for Women’s discreet email coaching and virtual group format are built for that reality, giving women a confidential, women-only space to learn, ask, and connect. The combination of practical content (legal, financial) with emotional support is part of what makes the program distinctive.
