Al-Anon Family Group – Fort Collins
About This Group
Al-Anon Family Groups in Fort Collins provide free support for anyone whose life has been affected by someone else’s drinking — whether that person is still drinking or not. Al-Anon welcomes parents, spouses, partners, children, siblings, friends, and coworkers of people with alcohol problems.
What to Expect
Meetings are confidential gatherings where members share experiences, strength, and hope. Sessions typically last about one hour and may include readings from Al-Anon literature, topic discussions, and personal sharing. There is no requirement to speak — you are welcome to simply listen. Al-Anon follows a 12-step program adapted from Alcoholics Anonymous but is a completely separate organization.
About Al-Anon
Al-Anon Family Groups have provided support for families and friends of alcoholics since 1951. The program helps members develop healthy coping skills, set boundaries, and find peace regardless of whether their loved one chooses recovery. Alateen meetings are also available for teenagers affected by someone else’s drinking.
