Branches Domestic Violence Shelter is the primary domestic violence service provider for the Huntington area and Cabell County, offering 24/7 emergency shelter, crisis hotline, counseling, support groups, advocacy, and LGBTQ+-inclusive services for survivors of intimate partner violence. Branches provides trauma-informed care through trained advocates and counselors committed to helping survivors achieve safety and independence.

What Groups Are Offered?

Branches offers support groups for adult survivors of domestic violence, psychoeducational groups on understanding abuse dynamics and safety planning, and advocacy services. Individual counseling complements group programming. The organization provides LGBTQ+-inclusive services, recognizing that domestic violence affects people of all sexual orientations and gender identities. Children’s programming supports young people impacted by family violence.

Who Can Join?

Services are available to anyone experiencing domestic violence, dating violence, or stalking in the Huntington/Cabell County area. You do not need to be a shelter resident to access support groups and counseling. Services are provided regardless of gender, sexual orientation, age, immigration status, or income.
