Free Support for Parents of Deaf/HOH Children - Colorado | Hands & Voices

About This Group

Colorado Families for Hands & Voices began as a small Colorado parent support group and grew into the flagship chapter of Hands & Voices, now a national organization with chapters across the country. It is parent-driven and dedicated to supporting families of children who are deaf or hard of hearing, without any bias toward a particular communication method or philosophy.

Ways to Find Support

Through the Guide By Your Side (GBYS) program, a trained Parent Guide who has personally raised a deaf or hard-of-hearing child is matched with your family to offer support grounded in real experience, not just information. GBYS also has coordinators specifically for Spanish-speaking families and for families whose children have additional considerations like unilateral hearing loss, autism, or Down syndrome. Families gain access to regional events, connections with deaf and hard-of-hearing adults, educational workshops, and a network of Hands & Voices chapters nationwide, all free through generous donors and an HRSA grant.

Who This Is For

Parents and caregivers of children who are deaf or hard of hearing, from birth to age 18, anywhere in Colorado.
