Free Familial Hypercholesterolemia (FH) Support - National

About This Group

The Family Heart Foundation supports people living with familial hypercholesterolemia (FH), a genetic condition causing very high LDL cholesterol from birth, and high lipoprotein(a), or Lp(a), a related inherited cardiovascular risk factor. Founded in 2011, the Foundation is patient-driven and focused on advocacy, research, and education.

Ways to Find Support

Support groups are hosted on Facebook and moderated directly by Family Heart Foundation staff, including a Familial Hypercholesterolemia Discussion Group, a Lipoprotein(a) Discussion Group, and an HoFH Community for people with, or parents of children with, the rare and more severe homozygous form of FH. If you are not on Facebook, the Foundation will connect you with others living with FH or high Lp(a) in your area or by phone.

People with familial hypercholesterolemia or high Lp(a), and their family members and caregivers, anywhere in the U.S. including Colorado.
