About This Group

The Colorado State Foster Parent Association (CSFPA) was founded in 1971 by foster parents and allies who saw the need for statewide connection, training, and advocacy. More than five decades later, CSFPA is powered by a dedicated group of volunteers, many of them caregivers themselves, who give more than 20 hours a week as facilitators, coordinators, and mentors.

Ways to Find Support

CSFPA Member Care Calls connect Colorado foster, kinship, and adoptive families with a caring team member for a supportive check-in, not a hotline or crisis line, just someone who understands foster care and can help you find your next step, no judgment attached. CSFPA also hosts quarterly resource gatherings around the state, in locations like Castle Rock, Lakewood, and Fort Collins, bringing together local nonprofits, businesses, and county partners alongside games and community for the whole family. Membership is free and currently includes about 158 member families statewide, plus a 50% discount to YMCA locations and camps across Colorado.
