About This Group

The National Fragile X Foundation (NFXF), established in 1984, unites the Fragile X community to provide educational and emotional support, promote awareness, and advance research toward better treatments and a cure. Fragile X syndrome is an inherited condition affecting intellectual, behavioral, and social development. Colorado is also home to the Fragile X Clinic at Children’s Hospital Colorado, a member of NFXF’s Fragile X Clinical & Research Consortium and the state’s leading medical program for Fragile X care.

Ways to Find Support

NFXF’s Community Support Network (CSN) is its national volunteer program, made up of groups typically organized and run by parent volunteers, offering emotional and educational support and organizing local events that build awareness. NFXF maintains a toll-free line to help families find the parent support group closest to them, wherever they live.
