Free Youth Grief Camp — South Florida | Camp Erin

Camp Erin South Florida, hosted by Catholic Health Services through Catholic Hospice, is a free bereavement camp for youth ages 6 to 17 who are grieving the death of a significant person in their lives. It is part of Eluna’s national Camp Erin network — the largest free network of grief camps for children and teens in the country.

What to Expect
Campers attend day and overnight experiences that combine grief education and emotional support with fun, traditional camp activities. Led by bereavement professionals and caring volunteers, the camp gives children, teens, and their caregivers a safe environment to explore grief, learn essential coping skills, and make friends with peers who are also grieving.

Who This Group Is For
This is for grieving youth ages 6-17 in the South Florida community (Miami-Dade and Broward). Applications are available in English, Spanish, and Haitian Creole so families across the region can participate.

Why Peer Support Works
Children grieve differently than adults, and they heal powerfully alongside other kids who share their experience. Camp Erin surrounds each camper with peers and trained mentors, normalizing their feelings and sending them home with coping tools and a sense of community.
