About This Group
Las Vegas Vet Center provides free, confidential community-based counseling for eligible combat veterans, service members, and their families. Located in Las Vegas with a satellite location in Henderson, the Vet Center offers individual and group counseling for PTSD, depression, military sexual trauma (MST), and readjustment challenges. No VA enrollment is required, and all services are provided in a comfortable, non-medical setting.
What to Expect
Services include individual counseling, group therapy, marital and family counseling, bereavement counseling, and referrals to community resources. The T.A.P.S. (Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors) group meets on the first Monday of each month for families of fallen service members. Counselors specialize in military-related issues and understand the unique challenges of transitioning from military to civilian life. The informal, non-clinical setting is designed to make veterans feel comfortable seeking help.
About Vet Centers
Vet Centers are community-based counseling centers operated by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, providing readjustment counseling to combat veterans, those who experienced military sexual trauma, and those who served in other qualifying capacities. Vet Centers operate separately from VA medical centers, offering an accessible, stigma-free environment for seeking support.
